  • Do you eat to the point of physical discomfort or pain?
  • Do you feel intense guilt, disgust, and depression after eating?

You might be struggling with Binge Eating Disorder

Binge Eating Disorder is the most common eating disorder and is estimated to occur in as many as 5% of all individuals. Binge eating involves eating a large amount of food, in a short amount of time, without the compensatory behaviors as seen in bulimia. Binge eating is often done in secret and causes intense feelings of guilt, shame and depression. While it is often associated with being overweight, it can affect individuals of any size. Frequently both men and women struggle with this disorder.

Therapy for Binge Eating Disorder:

Therapy for Binge Eating Disorder (BED) focuses on helping individuals understand and overcome the psychological and behavioral patterns associated with binge eating. Treatment for BED aims to end the vicious cycle of dieting and weight gain. Effective therapy develops healthier coping mechanisms and eating behaviors. Therapy helps clients break the cycle of binge eating, reduce feelings of shame and guilt, and build a more positive relationship with food and their bodies.

Clients benefit from the combination of evidence-based treatment approaches in my work including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) , Family Systems and Family Behavioral Therapy (FBT).

My work is informed and influenced by Health At Every Size literature and research. Treatment also heals depression, anxiety, perfectionism and other forms of psychological distress that often co-occur with BED. Treatment leads to overall improvement in emotional, physical and psychological well-being.

I provide a comprehensive and personalized therapy experience that addresses the root causes of BED and supports lasting change to end the diet revolving door. My goal is to help you develop a healthier relationship with food, your body, and yourself, fostering a positive self-image, and enhancing your overall quality of life.
